Emilie Phillips Tasting Room Manager
Growing up in Tonnay-Charente, a small town in the Southwest of France, Emilie Phillips never thought she would become the tasting room manager at Starkey’s Lookout located in Dundee, New York. Emilie graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2008 through an exchange student program with her University in La Rochelle, France. After graduating with a degree in Foreign Languages, she went back to France for two years to pursue a Master’s degree in Foreign Languages and Business, specializing in American culture. She then came back to America and began to pursue a career in the wine industry. She broke into the industry at the Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY where she worked in a variety of roles at the Wine and Gift shop. After three years in that position she was promoted to Assistant Manager where her responsibilities expanded. She held that position for another two years before taking the next step in her career, moving into her current position at Starkey’s. With her strong passion for the industry, Emilie enjoys traveling to the neighborhood wineries to learn more and see what others are offering. Her goal is to continue to help make Starkey’s one of the must stops on the tour with their remarkable views and unique offerings.
